Directory methodology
Built from traceable records, not filler pages
The current index contains 29,046 provider records across 74 metro hubs. 29,045 come from Overture Maps Places release 2026-07-22.0; 1 ranking legacy profile was retained after direct source review. Every record retains a stable source ID.
No invented listings
A provider profile publishes only when a source record clears the category, location, deduplication, and attribution checks.
Real locality stays real
Nearby providers retain their actual address locality. A metro assignment never rewrites a suburb as the hub city.
Exact and nearby stay separate
City pages show providers located in the city first, then a clearly labeled nearby section. Proximity is not presented as proof of service area.
Claims add context, not rank
A verified claim can correct and enrich a profile. It does not purchase directory inclusion or alter provider ordering.
